The Tangle: Episode 7
Welcome to May everyone!
💐We’re looking forward to warmer weather, spring flowers, and…mental health awareness month!
With a likely increase in #mentalhealth convos coming our way, we want to do some spring cleaning of common (unconscious) mental health biases.
💪 When you think about physical health, what are the first words that come to mind? Exercise, eating well, being strong, right?
🧠 Now, when you think about mental health, what are the first words that come to mind? Stress, anxiety, depression... Sound familiar?
It's interesting how we focus on strategies for maintaining strong physical health but often dwell on challenges when it comes to mental health.
At Collectively Tangled, when we talk about mental health, we're talking about having the knowledge, skills, and tools to be resilient even in tough times.
Here are some truths about mental health that guide our work with founders:
We all have mental health. You have a body, you have physical health. You have a brain, you have mental health.
Mental health requires care, just like physical health. It's a continuous process, not a destination.
Mental health is interconnected with everything we do. It affects our work, relationships, and overall quality of life.
So, as you embark on your spring cleaning, consider making space for strong mental health.
Happy Spring Cleaning, everyone! ✌️
